Welcome to Crouch Valley!

"To anyone who hasn’t tried Scouting before, I’d say come on up and have a go! I think that most people don’t really know that Scouting is about activities, friendship and meeting people from other countries. I’ve been in the Movement since I was a Beaver and I still love it!"

Explorers are aged 14 to 18, and we are the fourth section of the Scout Movement. And here at Crouch Valley Explorers, we put youth involvement at the forefront of our entire programme - so we do what the Explorers want to do! So whether you're a fan of canoeing, rock climbing, biscuit decorating or kung fu, our programme can be what you want it to be - and with five units spread right across the Rochford District - anyone can join in on the action!

So what are you waiting for? Find out more!

Become a Young Leader!

The Young Leaders' Scheme is just one of the exciting programme elements in the Explorer Scout section.

Young Leaders are Explorer Scouts who choose to devote a large proportion of their time in Scouting to service in another section - so that means you could help out with a Beaver Scout, Cub Scout or Scout Section.

The scheme also helps Explorer Scouts to develop and grow as individuals. It allows them to make a valuable contribution to their community and give service to others. The scheme can also fulfil the service element of awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
